Dear Members,
We have made a great deal of progress in the last 24 hours towards restoring nH and SC. Both worlds are up in maintenance mode so while members cannot login work is continuing. In the mean time Chatzone is back up and open!
A key disk drive which housed the nH/SC worlds data failed on July 22nd. In addition to the initial disk drive failure, other key pieces of hardware on the old nH/SC server began to fail and it was deemed necessary to purchase a new server. All of our efforts this past week were aimed at getting the new server configured to run our software and applications, copy the saved world data from the 22nd on to the server in order to boot the worlds and check worlds’ status…which we finally were able to do late yesterday evening.
It was at that point the techs found that the data corruption was more pervasive than originally thought and this means that in order to bring the worlds back up safely and to ensure future stability we will have to do a time warp from an uncorrupted backup. The techs are going over our saved backups and exploring other options to limit the time warp to the shortest amount of time.
Our only priority is to get all of our members back home in stable and secure environments and all of our efforts are focused on that one goal. Please be assured that all Avatarwares orders which fall into the time warp period WILL be refilled as quickly as possible.
