Hi,

There is a correct way to handle in world harassment and reporting potential predators and it does not include posting logged texts with names in our public forums. This does no one any good and can be a used to harass a member as text logs can be altered, edited or faked to show anyone saying anything to anybody.

Support requires screenshots in addition to unaltered text logs to validate harassment complaints as well as staff witness reports whenever possible. Members, even children, who are experiencing harassment should always Page Guide/Acolyte/Capo to report the offender and to ask for assistance. The Guides/Acolytes/Capos can explain exactly how to ignore the offender, how to save messages, how to take a screenshot and how to contact Support.

The complaint must come from the actual victim (or parent if this involves a child) who experienced the harassment. If a member knows about or witnesses an incident the most helpful thing they can do is urge the victim to Page, log everything and complain. We cannot act upon 3rd party reports or complaints but we do welcome alerts from concerned members of potential problems which our iw staff can keep an eye on.
