To Whomever Can Help with this problem,
I just added my weekly games to the calander and I had to spend that past hour trying to guess a time that would work for my game....not sure I am saying this right..but I had to try all different time zones and hours to get the correct time for my gamesvzshrug Example: for my 4pm acro game I had to choose for the start time, midday and the end time for 6pm....in order for it to read the correct time of the game- start time 4pm end time 5pm vzt....go figure..I am soo lost in this new forum...I sure hope I get the hang of it soon because it's VERY frustrating:rolleyes:
Thanks in advance for any help I might receive in the matter.

I haven't had a chance to play around much with the calendar but I don't want you to think I'm ignoring you :)

While I get up to speed on the calendar functions of the forums, can I ask what your own time zone settings (in your User CP) are?

My first main suggestion to everyone entering a game into the calendar:
Put the game time in VZT in your title and event description!!! :)

Seriously, though... everyone is in different time zones and most of us have our forum time set to our own time zone automatically adjusted for daylight savings time... so we will all be seeing event times for our own particular time zones.

If your User CP is set to your own time zone with automatic adjustment for daylight savings time, enter your game time as one hour EARLIER than the time your game starts in YOUR time zone.

Example: Rinn's Friday Acro game is at 4PM VZT, which is 7PM in her own time zone, US Eastern. When she clicks on Add New Event and the window opens, her own time zone should be selected in the drop down box. She would enter her game time as 6PM and ending at 7PM and it should come up with the correct time in everyone's time zone.

I would still say it's most important to include the time in VZT in your title and description as not everyone will have their forum time set up correctly :)

The Calendar time is off by a hour if I remember correctly. Maybe the server doesn't recognize Daylight Savings Time? Not sure...

At any rate, it does NOT work correctly. I am in the same time zone as VZones... Setting the time correctly in the calendar does not post it correctly. The problem is in the calendar setup... not in time zone reconciliation... I had to ebnter incorrect times to get it to show corectly once entered.

My 2 T's worth... no... 1 T worth.... vzshrug

When I first entered times as Eastern Times, I had to set TWO hours before the correct time. I just ended up setting my own time as VZT. lol

But everytime you enter the calendar to edit, it sets the start and end time up by ONE hour.

The Forums as a whole appear to recognize Daylight Savings Time; the Calendar seems to have some issues.

And yes, as we both stated, you do have to enter an incorrect time:
If your User CP is set to your own time zone with automatic adjustment for daylight savings time, enter your game time as one hour EARLIER than the time your game starts in YOUR time zone.

Once again... put the game time in VZT in the title and description :)
