Dear Members,

2005 has been another interesting year in the history of the VZones.

Dreamscape hit an incredible milestone; 10 years old, and going strong! newHorizone, Dreamscape and SeduCity all have experienced changes in staff and management, and Twilight successfully took on the very difficult position of Director of Worlds, and has made a big impact. Our personal thanks to all the staff and the past and present World Managers; the VZones are largelysuccessful because of their efforts and devotion. And to Teague, our resourceful and tireless support manager; thanks for all you've done this year!

The volume of art also grew a lot in 2005. We introduced 9 new avatar bodies (5 male and 4 female), hundreds of other Avatarwares, vendo and prize art items, and so much new scenery, it's impossible to count. We now have creator teams in all three worlds who have added a lot of creativity and ideas!

We decided to move Second Kingdom into Dreamscape, and that change seems to have been a success, after some painful gyrations in moving all your turfs and possessions. Dreamscape inherited a lot of new avatar bodies, wonderful locales and dynamic members, and the Second Kingdom Citizens now have access to Dreamscape and its fantastic community and art.

Nowhereman and Lydia were the backbone of our art processing capability, and they also created a lot of fantastic art. Marco and Lady Reformed also continued to astound us with their capability to create and process exciting new art.

James, our incredible technical manager continued to smile this year, even when we repeatedly forced him out of bed in the very early hours if we needed help. He also got more deeply involved in the development of server and client improvements that you may not be aware of, but are very valuable. James and Kenn collaborated in developing the new VZones Media Player which includes a free VoIP (Internet telephone) function for members. You call another avatar, and if they have it installed, you can talk over the internet. To download your free copy go to: http://www.vzones.com/download/vzmcp_installer.exe . Bill The Galactic Hero created a (much needed) profanity filter, and that's available at: http://vzones.com/download/prof_filter_installer.exe .

However, we also had some bumps in the road (as usual). After a long grind, we decided that Datylus, the newly developed VZone, would have to close, albeit temporaily because our partner ran out of steam and resources. As they have not been able to get back on track, the reopening is not in any way certain. We live and learn! One good thing that came out of this was two new 3D avatar bodies which were created by nowhereman....they are a sign of some things to come.

All in all a good year and one that we shall not easily forget <G>.

Thanks so much to all our fantastically loyal and involved members and staff, and to all, have a wonderful 2006...health, wealth and happiness!

David and Nathalie.
