Click on "User CP" (upper left) and then choose "Edit Options"

I had to log out and back in, it shows my name now with an asterisk, so you prob can't see my name, that thing that lights up green when you're online is now red. Lol, I am here but I am not.

I'm sure I'm not staff, but have been around longer than many of them have. For the record, I like Bubbles theory on why people are showing up as invisible.
